When Home Calls

With a bag in hand, I reach the gate,

The airport hums—love, joy, and fate.

Warm hugs, teary eyes, a wave, goodbye,

Some smiles, some sighs beneath the sky.

I find my seat -The flight takes off

The clouds below, the sky so sweet.

Through window views, I softly stare,

The sky says, “Home is waiting there.”

The plane now lands, my heart beats fast,

I see my family there at last.

Bright faces glow, arms open wide,

All worries fade, all fears subside.

At home, my grandparents gently wait,

Their wrinkled hands, a loving fate.

Each visit shows a quiet truth—

Time whispers louder than our youth.

The scent of food, the laugh we share,

My siblings’ jokes, joy everywhere.

Relatives drop by, friends call too,

Old stories told, yet always new.

We sit, we eat, we talk, we play,

The moments steal my breath away.

For every hug, each smile, each tone,

Reminds me—this is truly home.
