When the Most Dramatic Couple Meet

If life were a movie, happiness and sadness would be that typical dramatic couple who just can’t live with each other, but also can’t live without each other. One moment you’re laughing like a maniac at a meme that says “My life is a joke”, and the next moment — boom — existential crisis hits like an uninvited guest at your birthday party. Isn’t that what life is all about?

The Emotional Tug of War

It’s funny how we humans are told to control our emotions as if there’s a remote control hidden somewhere:

“Feeling too sad? Press skip. Feeling too happy? Pause and think twice!”

And then comes society with its forever downloaded rules

“Men don’t cry.”

Really? Then what do they do when their favourite cricket team loses in the last over? Silent meditation?

“Women shouldn’t laugh loudly.”

Ma’am, please — have you ever heard a group of girls sharing tea-time gossip? Laughter louder than a DJ party. And it’s absolutely beautiful.

Happiness & Sadness-

Let’s admit it!

Happiness and sadness are like Tom & Jerry. They chase each other, prank each other, but deep down, they’re incomplete without the other.

If happiness teaches you to enjoy the little moments, like stealing the last slice of pizza  & sadness teaches you to value those moments when you don’t have pizza at all.

Why You Need Both (Even If It’s Annoying)

Imagine a life where you’re happy 24/7. No sadness. No tears. No drama.

Sounds perfect? Wrong.

That’s like watching a movie with only the climax scene playing on repeat. You’ll be done in 5 minutes and asking for a refund. It’s the sad scenes, the plot twists, and the low moments that make the happy scenes all the more worth it.

Life without sadness is like chai without sugar, technically still chai, but who wants that?

Final Thoughts — Feel It All!

So here’s my take, feel everything!

Cry like a Bollywood hero if you need to. Laugh like a kid who doesn’t care who’s watching. Be sad. Be happy. Be both at the same time if required. (That’s called being human, not being confused.) Because at the end of the day, life is a beautiful mess of contradictions. And trust me, it’s these ups and downs that give your story the spice it needs.

After all, even Maggie tastes better with a bit of masala, doesn’t it?
