Lessons from Spring

Our lives are similar to seeds in that we would be little at the beginning, unable to fend for ourselves, but with the proper amount of care and nurturing, we eventually develop and bloom into a more complete version of ourselves. Regardless of how gloomy the winter appears to be, life always seems to resume in the spring. Similarly, no matter how difficult or dismal our own lives appear to be, life continues to change and bring with it new opportunities for us to develop. It is amazing to see the activity that is all around us in the midst of spring.

Flowers are blossoming, bees are buzzing about distributing pollen, squirrels are hunting for where they buried their acorns, and plants grow and bear fruits. Every creature contributes to the broader ecosystem, and spring reminds us how vital each of us is in giving back to the environment and assisting the other living things around us. Nature demonstrates that we are all connected. Some of us are like spring flowers, blooming and enjoying the nice seasons, while others are like winter herbs and vegetables, flourishing through the harsh winters. We have no choice over the season in which we are born, but when our time comes, we must bloom wherever we are planted
